Welcome to English 122.1 and 122.2 and 170 course wiki!
This web space belongs to all the students of the Department of Communication and Internet Studies, studying English 122 (English for Academic Purposes: EAP) and English 170 (English for Specific Academic Purposes: ESAP - Communication and Internet Studies: CIS) at the Cyprus University of Technology, during autumn 2011 semester and spring 2012 semester.
One of the main objectives of this course is to learn English for Academic Purposes at B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for languages and English for Specific Academic Purposes - CIS at level B2/C1.
Particularly:
(1) students will be asked to create and maintain their OWN wiki where their EN122 and ENG170 digital portfolio will be available!
(2) students will be asked to do various tasks and participate in different activities, involving: speaking, listening, reading and writing English at academic level developing skills in academic areas such as library skills, referencing styles, avoiding plagiarism, etc.
